I recently hit 10 thousand followers the other day, and I want to say thank you to all of you for your support and following me on my adventures around the world. I was initially supposed to move to Hawaii for a teaching job after Guyana, but that fell through, and after that, I was in a big rut because I was looking forward to it. The future is looking bright, and with the current job I’m at, I can work on areas that I can improve myself to be a better teacher, expedition leader, and naturalist. One of my favorite quotes I live by is you learn more from failure then you do from success. Y’all are awesome, and I can wait to show you what the future holds 🤙🏻 ...
PANTANAL - Exhibition.
Side by side, we must live.
Your life depends on what I give.
And mine is too, bound by this.
The bond we share, a natural fit.
Wildlife and people can coexist. We can sustain our most precious and important natural assets if we work together with wildlife by first and foremost recognizing its importance to our own survival. We need nature, but nature doesn’t need us.
This month I’ve been out here on an expedition in Brazil’s Pantanal - the largest tropical wetland in the world - documenting the state of wildlife in the region with the @btsnature crew.
We’ve partnered up with @oncafari and @sospantanal , with significant support from @gwsgallery , to help showcase the people protecting and restoring the nature of the Pantanal.
We’re currently still out on the road. We’ve met so many inspiring people and we have so much to share on the successes and struggles of conservation in the Pantanal.
The first debut of our production will be showcased immediately following the expedition here in Brazil! See details below.
EVENT: On November 1st we’re hosting a very special fundraiser exhibition at the @gwsgallery to raise funds for the Pantanal.
On offer will be a brand new never seen before series of wildlife portraits that I’ve captured during our expedition.
50% of the proceeds from the event will go directly to the direct conservation of wildlife and nature across the Pantanal!
If you’re in São Paulo on the 1st please come by the gallery at 19h to attend the event where myself and others from @oncafari and @sospantanal will be giving talks on the importance of protecting the Pantanal and what you can do to help support!
Catalogues are available of the artworks if you can’t attend the event but still want to help support. For more information either DM direct or contact @gwsgallery.
See you there! ...
