Roll clouds over Lake Michigan are quite recurrent.
A Roll cloud is a relatively rare, low-level horizontal, tube-shaped accessory cloud completely detached from the cumulonimbus base, unlike the more common shelf cloud. When present, it is located along the gust front and most frequently observed on the leading edge of a line of thunderstorms, a cold front or line squalls. The roll cloud will appear to be slowly "rolling" about its horizontal axis. Roll clouds are not and do not produce tornadoes.
They are caused by a downdraft from an advancing storm causing moist warm air to rise, cool below its dew point and form a cloud. .

1 month to go and we can already see the finish line 🏁
When we started with this project, we were disappointed with the yield and results of the spray-dried powders we were obtaining 😔
Some of the powders were sticky and majority of it were just sticking within the walls. While some of the powders have a very faint color and we were having a hard time to decide if we will proceed with the food application
Luckily, we have enough time to optimize the whole process and look at the powders we were obtaining (Thank you Design Expert for the project optimization. Though I still have a long way to go to master the said program and deal with RSM). At least we can already almost fill the container of this equipment in a single run
As the project ends in December, we are very eager to know what will the stakeholders about to say in our outputs. We are hoping that among the 5 raw materials we have developed, one of them will take-off in our laboratory to give way for commodity items that contains natural colorants 😄
