Our relationships are a manifestation of our past conditioning.

The way we communicate. The boundaries we have (or don’t have), our level of trust, vulnerability. All clues. All parts of the puzzle that’s “us.” The type of person we attract are all windows into what needs healing. It’s the mirror to our past. It’s the patterning if our unresolved trauma.

If we betray ourselves in relationships, we’ve been betrayed in some way in childhood. If we abandon ourselves, we watched a parent unconsciously abandon themselves to receive love. Then, we did the same.

Our healing requires us to look at relationships and their patterns. There are always patterns. It requires us to stop externalizing our experiences and begin to paying attention internally.

Some questions we can begin asking ourselves, journaling, or meditating on:
1. What about this person did I immediately find attractive?
2. Did I consistently spend time focused on what they thought about me, or did I focus on how my body responded to them?
3. Did I feel seen or heard?
4. Did I witness dynamics like this in childhood?
5. Was I trying to be chosen, or was I making a conscious choice?
6. Was there emotional connection or did one/both of us engage in emotionally phobic (game playing) behavior?
7. Did this relationship feel like home to me? And why?
8. Did I say or behave in ways that weren’t in alignment to project an image?

Radical honesty reflections of relationships allow us to see our patterns. Awareness of our patterns IS healing.

If you’re feeling the courage to be vulnerable, what pattern have you recently become aware of within your relationships? #selfhealers.

Don't be limited by what you see._
You're already living a thought you once prayed for. Don't judge the timing of your life & remember there's so much more happening behind the scenes aligning for you. You invite more opportunities into your life by being grateful. _ 🥊: @farmboyfit.

I actually had no idea I was codependent. It was just normal to me.

It wasn’t until my partner began dropping hints of patterning within my family that I had awareness of my own conditioning.

The more I witnessed my family dynamics, the more dysfunction I saw. There were no boundaries. There was controlling behavior disguised as worry, the inability to communicate, and chronic health anxiety. It brought up a lot for me. I was defensive + guarded.

My ego didn’t want to face just how much of my childhood learned behavior was manifesting in my adult life.

I was deeply codependent. I was acting out what I had been modeled. Just as humans always do.

All of my focus had been placed on my partner. On how she was doing. On what I needed her to be so I could feel ok (the root of all codependency. Codependency is a trauma response that results in selfish behavior. When you’re in it, you believe you’re giving all you can. You believe someone else is draining you. You don’t have clarity.

The single most important thing you can do to heal codependency is to begin setting and holding boundaries. Full disclosure: it was the most difficult practice I’ve ever done. Boundaries are the reclaiming of the highest self #selfhealers.

What are the Akashic Records? How can they ignite insights and opportunities to heal for us in this physical life? What can we learn from this cosmic database? Link in profile to dive into our latest podcast with @wildlyrooted Venessa Rodriguez - a functional nutritionist, intuitive nourishment guide, podcast host and an Akashic record reader.

In this conversation we cover:
- Her upbringing, her Puerto Rican ancestry and traditions + the passing of her mother as a catalyst of change and a deepening into the world of nutrition and healing.
- The Akashic Records: the 'cosmic database' that they are, what they can teach us, and how she works with them to help people in their healing processes.
- Strengthening your spiritual gifts.
- The non-linear aspect of 'time' and how our minds may think we need to 'heal' at one pace, whereas from a soul perspective the timeline is a lot more expansive and integrative.
- Past lives and ancestral beliefs/patterns/messages that we can have access to for our healing.
- Integrating 'soul work' as a career, pricing your work and finding balance.
- The importance of groundedness in 're-wilding' to appreciation of this human life and this precious planet we're on.
- The danger of 'diet dogma' and the real essence of 'intuitive eating' as a healing modality for our bodies.

Today I woke up in Nicaragua. I woke up to the sounds of trees blowing in the wind and birds chirping. The journey here was memorable. We took a boat across the Atlantic Ocean in the middle of a small storm around 7 pm. My friend and I sat on the outside of the boat, but as soon as the boat pulled off, the water splashed all over us. So I went inside to cross the Atlantic during the storm. When we arrived across the Atlantic Ocean, we took a 40-minute drive through the deep forest of Ometepe Nicaragua. There were wild horses and cows on the streets and music playing by the local people. After that, we did a 20-minute hike up the mountains—Such an adventure. ⁣
⁣
The island that I'm staying on is surrounded by two Live Volcanos, a deep forest, and a beautiful town. I love Ometepe, Nicaragua — It's the 3rd time that I've traveled here in my life. I've been taking yoga and meditation classes here. The yoga classes focus on pranayama (breathing techniques) and moving meditations. We close our eyes and let our bodies flow in the middle of the forest. The food here is also perfect; everything is organic, and there's a permaculture farm where the food grows. ⁣
⁣
I also went on a motorcycle ride through the forest, the colors of the town are so vivid, and everyone greets you with a warm smile. It's mostly locals living here, which is something I appreciate when traveling because you get to really see the culture. When you're on a motorcycle, you ride up the mountain into the sun, next to the sea. It's just pretty and calming. There's something about Ometepe that always reminds you to stay grounded and reminds you to be grateful just for breathing every day. Some people say that Ometepe is another dimension because of the energy it exudes, and I can always feel it. ⁣
⁣
Right now, I'm writing this in the middle of a beautiful hut that I'm staying in — Surrounded by the forest. It's funny; I never thought that I would live a life where I lived in different countries and traveled around the world. Society teaches us to follow an agenda, but I believe we should follow our minds and hearts because there is where we find our purpose and our peace..

The whole point of life is to know who you are.

Sit with yourself every day in quiet and connect to the beauty that is you within.

Listen to your heart speak.
Notice what your mind is thinking.
Hear the rumblings of your gut.
Connect with the calling of your soul.
.
When you know who you are, and what you want, you can create a plan to get there.

This deep knowing makes it impossible to do anything else.
And when you feel confident in why you’re here and what you came here to do, you are unstoppable my loves.
.
When you feel brave and unstoppable it never matters what others think or how they respond to your life’s work.
It’s all about you and how you desire to live your one precious life. 🌺.

When we start the healing process a lot of what has been buried in our subconscious becomes untangled and released; it is the process of letting go that removes the tension that limits our happiness and inclines our behavior toward certain directions. This alleviates our thought pattern and brings clarity to our reasoning ability.

These slight movements into deeper areas of wisdom, a natural part of getting to know yourself, helps our new motivator become a growing sense of compassion for ourselves and others - it is easier to understand others and the things that drive their actions when you understand your own inner world.

One of the first areas that we can see a significant change is in how we intentionally and consciously think, we start being more gentle with ourselves and others, a new loving positivity emerges from releasing the tension of ego and allowing the clarity of consciousness to come forward - the essence of healing ourselves.

This should not be confused for a total transformation, we can see signs of a new clarity emerging in our minds, but we must remember that the mind is vast, truly immense, and that the subconscious - where most of the old emotional history that impacts our daily behavior is contained, will still hold much that needs to be released. This creates a situation where our conscious thought pattern may have changed in the direction we are trying to move into, but our subconscious thoughts, the ones that spontaneously and unintentionally emerge, are still filled with the heaviness and harshness of old ways.

This is not to say that we should force ourselves to think a certain way or push down our subconscious thoughts, we should just be aware that this is a natural part of the healing process and that we should focus on cultivating the habits that are helping us transform and using the practices that are healing our mind-space.

Healing ourselves is not forcing ourselves to feel and think in certain ways, the real healing happens when we remain calm and aware with what is happening in the moment. Liberating ourselves from all tension, harshness and reactions is a long process. Sending love to all beings. 🙏🏽🌎 #yungpueblo.

Persephone and I just wanted to say thank you and express our deepest gratitude to everyone who joined me for a class or experience this year 💓 I feel like they were my best yet and it’s the people that make it special, so I’m feeling really lucky.
