It’s 5 a.m. right now, I woke up to study. I find that starting my day early is very important because it makes me more productive. Also the amount of work that I manage to get done at 5 a.m. is unbelievable! I am so much more productive in the morning than at night. Today is my last day of classes before my reading period starts. My finals start on Wednesday!
Some tips to wake up early:
1. Don’t put your alarm close to your bed. Put it in a place that makes you have to stand up to turn it off. That way, you won’t put in on snooze.
2. Have a morning ritual that you enjoy that makes you want to get out of bed. For me, I love writing a neat and organized to do list for the day with a candle burning next to me as I watch a few minutes of my favorite series « Gilmore Girls ».
3. Don’t just sit in your pajamas when you wake up, wash your face, take a quick shower and wear comfortable clothes. Wearing pajamas will make you sleepy.
4. Make your bed as soon as you wake up. If you see your bed messy you are much more likely to want to go back to sleep. -
